Successful Supervision with CHWs
Successful Supervision with CHWs is a highly interactive, in-person two-day course geared to supervisors of frontline workers and community health workers seeking to develop supervisory skills as part of their professional development plan. Course topics include: systems thinking, role clarity, hiring skills, on-boarding new staff, supporting boundary setting, addressing common challenges, culturally responsive supervision, and vicarious trauma. Supervisors will also gain an understanding of how to maximize utilization of CHWs to help their organizations improve the health and overall well-being of people receiving services. [Please note that the Successful Supervision with CHWs course is also offered by the Center for Health Impact via a Statewide Investment program administered by the Commonwealth Corporation.
