Gathering Patient Input to Inform Program Development

Patient feedback is key to implementing new initiatives and improving existing programming. Developing approaches to collect high-quality and useful information from patients can be time-consuming and challenging for ACO and CP staff. With this Off the Shelf product, ICH will help ACOs understand and document their program components as well as collect information that will support program implementation and improvement based on patient feedback.

ICH will facilitate up to 3 discussions with ACO/CP staff to define key program objectives and components. Based on these discussions, ICH staff will design data collection and patient recruitment protocols. ICH will conduct up to 10 patient interviews and will perform thematic analysis of the interviews. (Interviews can be conducted in English and Spanish). ICH will deliver a brief (5-7 pages) report to the ACO/CP detailing findings and recommendations for program improvement.

This TA package can be customized to fit any ACO/CP program that would benefit from patient feedback and recommendations. ACOs/CPs may also choose to combine this offering with other ICH TA offerings to create a more comprehensive assessment.

ICH can work with interpreters to conduct interviews in languages other than English and Spanish.

Patient interviews may be conducted virtually or in-person depending on the circumstances of patients, current pandemic safety guidelines and preference of the ACO/CP.
